The game has to appeal to the hardcore as well the n00bs, thats why there’s all the helpers like ‘auto-brake’ and ‘rewind’ etc etc. You can’t use those types of helpers in multiplayer. Only assists like traction/stability control. Also, when you use those ‘helpers’, your lap times wont be recorded which was a REALLY good move, it would be lame if someone drove a perfect race by rewinding and fixing all of his errors lol.
btw, if you played forza2, you’d understand the rewind feature. It’s a God-send in career mode. As about 80% of your races you get f’d during the start, ending up crippling your car to the point where even if you kept going you wouldnt be able to keep up with the last place car. And also, during the 1 hour endro races….i’ve had it happen MANY-a-time where on the last few laps when i’m really pushing on completly worn out tires, i end up wiping-out and completly loosing the race…….an hour of my life GONE…..but with the rewind feature, atleast i’d be able to finish and get my cash even though my time wouldnt be posted.

I thought that was the point about the long races. I remember GT3 or 4 or whatever where you can drive 100 laps and then get jacked and you have to start all over again. It’s about endurance. Pressing a rewind button "unlimited" times as they said is not very fair. At least limit it to 2 or 3 times per race…

well yea, if you want to be ‘truely’ realistic, it would take years of ‘real life’ time to collect 3-4 cars in your garage (and crappy cars at that), when you crashed in a race the game wouldnt boot up until you’ve waited 2 months for your car to be repaired and you can only play the game during the opening hours of the track etc etc. now THAT would be hardcore…
But this is just a game, a game meant #1 to make money. And you make money by making a game people want to buy. And people want to buy games that dont piss them off. And things that piss you off are wasting an hours race because of one small mistake. lol
And like i said before, the rewind feature is just for offline personal races. You wont even show up on the top leaderboards.

Got the game, it is breathtakingly beautiful, I ended up installing the game on the HDD, runs quieter and cooler, load times are kinda long, maybe a smidge quicker once I installed the game. Looking forward to playing with you noobz hahahaha, my neighbor went to Best Buy and they had a buy 2 get one free promotion so I got it for $40. Apparently he has been drag racing with friends online, and says drifting is close to impossible. My brother calls Forza the devil because when the original came out he played 5 hours straight a day and almost flunked out of school.
